This recipient of the Doris Duke Preservation award is an rare survivor of a period of Newport history. For much of the 20th century this architectural gem has been used as a shop, apartment house, tavern and office and was meticulously restored in 2005. A few details of of this treasure include, vaulted ceilings, gas fireplaces, Dutch doors, numerous priceless chandeliers and all surrounded by the International Tennis Hall of Fame and the Travers block.
