After earning her bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech, Betsy decided to join the United State Peace Corps working as a community development volunteer and moved to a small village on the tiny island of Sri Lanka for 2 years. This early life experience, she has said, helped shape her ability to think and work outside the box and come up with creative strategies and solutions to problems throughout her life. After the Peace Corps, Betsy moved to Boston and then San Francisco to work in Sales and Marketing for various software companies before taking some time off to focus on her family life.
Betsy has been an active member of her community for many years: coaching soccer with the Barrington Youth Soccer Association, participating in yearly fundraising efforts for many organizations that are near and dear to her: Boston Children’s Hospital and Dana Farber Cancer Institute to name a few, being a Girl Scout Troop leader and heading up many volunteer events at both her daughter’s schools. In 2013, when Betsy was looking for a new challenge, it was a natural fit for her to get her real estate license, as she had been assisting her husband Ted, a REALTOR for many years. Ted and Betsy Friedman formed the Friedman Group in 2013 and since then have been one of the top teams in the East Bay, earning the Greater Providence Board of Realtors Circle of Sales Excellence award every year.
With her client-centric focus, Betsy loves working with both buyers and sellers to help them navigate the real estate process from start to finish. Betsy loves every step of the real estate experience from searching for that perfect home, helping sellers stage their home for optimal sale, negotiating on behalf of either her buyers or sellers and attending home inspections to learn more about the home; it’s all part of the process! Whether you are a first-time home buyer or a veteran home- owner, Betsy has the patience and commitment to ensure that every one of her clients has the knowledge and information to make the right decision for them every time.
Betsy attributes her real estate success to the high number of personal referrals and to her philosophy of treating every client as if they were a member of her own family.
