About Ellen

I was born and bred in Rhode Island and have lived on the East Side of Providence for the last 23 years with my husband, Joe, a business executive, along with our 2 dogs (Rudolph Valentino and Jackson Blue) and a feisty cat named Vincenzo. I have 2 step-children and 6 grandchildren (wow, where did the time go?). I graduated from Dean College in Franklin, Massachusetts, majoring in music and theater with a concentration in classical piano.

For 20 years, I travelled the eastern seaboard using my skills as a singer/songwriter, writer, actor, and music producer/arranger. For 12 years, I spent my days honing my theatrical skills with IMPACT, an educational theater troupe while writing, performing, and producing shows for grades K-12 while moonlighting in nightclubs and concert halls singing blues, jazz, and my own compositions. In 1992, I opened the Big Winter Blues Bash in Providence with Roomful of Blues and presented “City Nights,” a song about falling in love in (and with) Providence. A year later, I opened at the RI Convention Center with Melissa Manchester and “City Nights” was again featured as the theme of the evening. I became a Realtor® in 2009. It has been quite a ride but buying and selling homes in Rhode Island, and Providence in particular, was an easy transition for me. I love this place! Rhode Island may be the smallest state in
the USA, but it certainly proves the old saying, “good things come in small packages”. Our capitol city of Providence is home to some of 
the finest colleges and universities in the country such as Brown University, Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), Johnson & Wales University, Rhode Island College, and Providence College. Also located nearby is the University of Rhode Island in Kingston, Salve Regina College in Newport, and Roger Williams University on the water in beautiful Bristol. 
Providence is a 1 hour drive from Boston and a 3 hour commute to New York. Known as the “Creative Capitol,” it is rich in the arts, boasting Trinity Repertory Theater downtown along with some of 
the finest dining on the east coast. Federal Hill’s Italian restaurants, countless art galleries, and Barnaby Evan’s world famous “Waterfire” festivals throughout the spring, summer, and fall seasons make this place an incredible tourist destination but an even better place to live. No kidding!
