PORTSMOUTH — A home in Carnegie Abbey sold last week for $5.2 million, the highest sale in the state so far this year said its realtor.

The “Nor’Easterly” is a five bedroom, 5.2 bath single family home at 166 Carnegie Heights Drive, which sits on a 2.6 acre lot overlooking the Narragansett Bay.

Ann and James Orr, III, of Florida sold the property to Sinesia and William Karol of Westwood, Mass. The Orrs bought the property in 2007.

Lila Delman Real Estate President Melanie Delman and Broker Associate Robin Nicholson listed the property. Property details and photos can be reached on the Lila Delman website.

The 9,397 square foot home was designed in 2006 by Newport Collaborative Architects and combines class American Shingle style with English and Northern influences, according to the website.

Six fireplaces and stonework are located throughout the living quarters, which include a library, wine pantry, state-of-the-art kitchen, family rooms, office, and an outdoor pool with a small waterfall.

The owners have access to a private beach and the Carnegie Abbey Club’s golf, yachting, and equestrian facilities.
