Fire Station #4, also known as Collyer Fire Station, was constructed between 1887-1888 and opened for service in 1890. The building is a beautiful example of Queen Anne construction with its gabled roofs, bell tower, & various Victorian features. The red brick exterior was finished with incredible detail including sandstone trim at the windows and lintels. The extensive history of the building can be noted in the detailed terracotta work and the original name/date plaque that rests under a custom window at the front gable.
