With roots deeply embedded in the real estate industry, Matt Phipps stands as a fourth-generation REALTOR® from a family-owned brokerage established in 1976. He has dedicated 20+ years to real estate, seamlessly blending his professional expertise with a profound passion for serving the community. Matt is recognized as 2020 Greater Providence Realtor® of the Year, 2013 Kent County Realtor® of the Year, and in 2008 Realtor® Magazine named him one of the Top “30 under 30″ Realtors in the country.

Matthew’s impressive involvement and list of designations from the National Association of REALTORS® (CRS, E-PRO, SRS, SFR, CIPS) underscores his expertise and dedication to staying at the forefront of industry trends.

After earning a degree in Journalism from American University in Washington D.C., Matt applied his media knowledge and skills to create/produce/host Providence’s ABC6/RI News Channels’ “The Real Estate Minute” and the The Rhode Show’s “House Talk” on Fox Providence. He has also been featured and quoted in several local and national publications, including The Washington Post, The Real Deal (NYC), USA Today, Real Estate Times, and The Providence Journal – underscoring his standing as a respected authority in the industry with insights and expertise sought after by media outlets as a trusted voice in both the local and national real estate landscapes.
Matt’s illustrious career is punctuated by a myriad of accolades and leadership roles, including being honored as the 2020 REALTOR® of The Year by the Greater Providence Board of REALTORS® (GPBOR), 2013 REALTOR® of the Year by Kent County Board of REALTORS® and one of the Top “30 under 30″ REALTORS® in the country by REALTOR® Magazine in 2008. His exceptional leadership is further evidenced by his role as the Corporate Secretary of GPBOR®, where he also serves on the Executive Committee and Finance Committee. Matthew’s influence extends beyond local associations, as he has been an active participant in National Associations, contributing to the Leadership Academy Advisory Group, Equal Opportunity/Cultural Diversity Committee, and Young Professionals Network Advisory Board. His commitment to nurturing the next generation of real estate professionals is evident in his role as the founder of the Young Professionals Network (YPN®) and his dedication to mentoring aspiring industry practitioners.

Furthermore, Matt has created courses for the Rhode Island Association of REALTORS® and has spoken nationally in Orlando, Las Vegas, New Orleans, and Chicago. From participating in the Realtor® Rally to Protect the American Dream in Washington, D.C., to volunteering at organizations like the Make-A-Wish Foundation, Camp St. Ministry, Rhode Island Food Bank, and Habitat for Humanity, Matt’s efforts in organizing community activities like basketball leagues, lunch programs, and youth sports sponsorships showcase his deep-rooted commitment to making a difference and touching the lives of many.

His greatest claim to fame is marrying SuperWoman Christina Phipps and parenting two sets of identical twins, Rafa, Søren, Maria and Nazaré.
